Governance of Sustainability
“Sustainability is central to everything we do at Randgold. Delivering a safe working environment, supporting prosperous and healthy communities and fostering a thriving natural environment are the responsibility of all our employees and partners, from our drivers to our directors.”
Mark Bristow, CEO
The strength of our business hinges on the health and welfare of all our employees, the well-being of our communities and the environment in which we operate. Since its inception, Randgold has sought to entrench sustainability best practice and good corporate citizenship into all business processes and decisions.
Our commitment to sustainability is set out through a suite of sustainability policies, procedures and management systems along with continuous stakeholder engagement. These policies have all been drafted to comply with or exceed the minimum requirements of our host country legislation, or where higher, to follow international standards such as the IFC’s Performance Standards, the World Bank’s Operational Guidelines, OECD Convention on Combating Bribery and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
